It has been a cold spell here in Norway for several weeks now, below -15ºC, (5ºF). My second cousin Robert made this ice lantern by filling a balloon with water, which was left outside to freeze, he then carefully cracked a hole and emptied the core of water before it was frozen straight through. The sharp edges were rounded with hot water. I had fun playing with different light sources hitting the ice. The red reflection comes from a compact camera’s AF assist lamp.
Dawh, you're quite welcome. Tis always my pleasure to please, miss. I did indeed like it; it's quite lovely. Especially the balance created by the leaves. By the way, I dunno how long it's been on your page, but your name is really quite lovely. ^_^
Thank you so much! It's really cool getting such a nice comment when the photo has only been up for a few minutes. This is the first shot I have submitted in some time now. It was taken with my new camera wich gives me more possibilties, the photo probably would not have turned out like this with my old camera. I'm really plased with the result.
